Cereals sensitivity, especially rice to lodging is one of the major obstacles to planting the plants in higher densities and higher use of chemical fertilizers. In order to support the process of rice production, determination and resolution of lodging damage is one of the main concerns of paddy farmers. So that will cost the annual huge amounts of money and time to compensate for the losses resulting from the lodging. However, there isn't still a certain scale for the evaluation of rice lodging. In this study, through a randomized complete block factorial design (RCBD), with the help of treatments of five levels of nitrogen fertilizer (0, 46, 92, 138 and 184 kg N/ ha) and artificial lodging of rice plant in sensitive stages of milky, dough and maturity, yield and yield components of rice (local cultivar Hashemi) and damage resulting from the lodging for one year in controlled conditions were evaluated. The results showed that the lowest yield was in treatment of 184 kg N/ ha level of nitrogen and the loading in the milky stage. In all treatments of nitrogen levels the amount of yield resulting from the lodging in the maturity stage was higher than the milky stage. This can be due to the development of plant organs in the maturity stage and thus less effect lodging on yield reduction. Also lodging didn't have any effect on the quality of cooking, gelatinization temperature and gel consistency but it reduced the efficiency of conversion of grain greatly
