Preliminary Comparison of Sunflower Hybrid

This experiment Carried out in a randomized complete block design t with 10 treatments (eight new Iranian sunflower hybrids, Golshid hybrid and zaria O.P cultivar) in four replications in-order to evaluate. seed yield and some plant trials such as phenological stages, plant height , head diameter and 100 kernels weight . New hybrids had suitable uniformity and there were no disease signs in all of genotypes . Results showed that there was not significant difference between genotypes in plant height I head diameter , flowering duration and 100 kernels weight , but there was significant differences (5%) between them in period between end of flowering to maturity _, growth duration and seed yield . New hybrid eMS 156/2xR-2 produced the highest seed yield (3.349 t/ha) but it did not have significant difference with Golshid and Zaria.
