Testing f1ourochloridon (Racer 25EC) as a new herbicide in Sunflower fields.

In order to investigate the effectivenes of Racer 25EC , the trails were conducted in Esfahan for two years (1996-98) in a camplete randomized bolck design (RBD) in 8 treatment and 4 replicants. The treatment included the comparsion between sonalan (Etal floralin) 3 lit/ha as a standard and the various dosages of Racer (1.5, 2 , 2.5, 3, 3.5 lit/ha). The results indicated that Racer in 2.5 and 3 lit/ha had a best effect on the broad live weeds in comparision with other treatments in 1997. And Racer in 2.5 lit/ha had a best effect on weeds and increased yield in 1998. Racer in 3 and 3.5 lit/ha had phytotoxicity upto 20% on the crop and had no effect on grasses.
