Rahmani Gobady, A
This study was conducted to compare of carrot varieties for yield and some quality traits to select of superior varieties. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with 4 replications and 12 treatments in Karaj. Each plot had 4 lines with a distance of 50cm. the size plot was 10m2. During plants development, the different attributes such as date of germination, canopy, plant shape, plant size and maturity were recorded. After harvest, the roots were evaluated for yield, color, size, uniformity, taste, consistency, vessel diameter and awn. In addition, taste of juice, dry matter content, moisture content, sugar percentage, acidity, solution matters in juice and PH was determined in the laboratory. After statistical analysis and means comparison with LSD method, Berelina variety was superior to other cultivars (23410 kg/ha). Berrelina was significantly different from control (shanteneh) at 5% level. Furthermore, the yield of cultivars; Carot, Tino and Nankon (20840, 20630 and 20130 kg/ha, respectively) were higher than the control variety
