The immune status and safety of suckling piglets when adding the compounds of selenium in the body of their mothers | Иммунный статус и сохранность поросят-сосунов при введении соединений селена в организм их матерей

The influence of the inorganic forms of selenium - sodium selenite and selenorganic connections - selenopyran on the immune system of pigs, on piglets safety when introducing these compounds to sows was under study. The scientific experiment was conducted on pregnant sows of Large White breed and their litter. For the studies there were formed five groups of pregnant sows: one control and four experimental with six heads in each group. 14 days before the expected farrowing the sows of the experimental groups were injected intramuscularly selenium-containing compound (selenopyran and sodium selenite) in the following doses: the first test group - a sterile aqueous solution of sodium selenite at a dose of 0.1 mg Se per 1 kg of live weight, the second - sodium selenite in a dose of 0.05 mg Se / kg body weight; the third - selenopyran oil solution at a dose of 0.1 mg Se per 1 kg of live weight; the fourth - selenopyran in a dose of 0.05 mg Se per 1 kg of live weight. The control group received sterile saline. In the samples taken on the third day of life it was noted that the level of selenium in the blood serum of piglets of all experimental groups was higher than in the control groups. These differences have remained till the seventh day after birth. By 28 days the indicators of selenium concentration in the blood serum of young animals did not differ significantly between the groups. On the third day of life there was an increase of IgG in blood serum of piglets in all experimental groups compared with the control one. Thus, in the first experimental group, where the sows received sodium selenite at 0.1 mg Se per 1 kg of body weight, the rate was significantly higher than the control one (P 0,05), in the second group there was only a tendency to increase. In the third and fourth experimental groups, where the sows were given selenopyran in different doses, the rate was significantly higher than the control one. A similar pattern was observed on the seventh day of life of the piglets. In all experimental groups, the level of G-class immunoglobulin was higher than the control. Thus, we have identified a relationship between the level of immunoglobulin of G-M-classes in the colostrum of lactating sows and immuno-physiological status of piglets derived from them, when introducing compounds of sodium selenite and selenopyran in the body of sows 14 days before farrowing. It was found that the concentration of immunoglobulins in colostrum of these classes under the influence of selenopirana significantly increased respectively by 52 and 136%, and sodium selenite - by 22 and 100% (P 0,05). The piglets in groups of early postnatal ontogeny period gained intact animals in selenium concentration and a content of immunoglobulin of G-, M-, A-classes in serum, respectively by 78 and 20-24% (P 0,01), as well as in the number of lymphocytes , which has a positive impact on the safety performance of suckling piglets.

Изучали влияние неорганической (селенита натрия – СН) и органической (селенопирана – СП) форм селена на иммунную систему поросят и сохранность поросят при введении данных соединений свиноматкам (СМ). Эксперимент был проведен на супоросных СМ крупной белой породы и их потомстве. Были сформированы контрольная и 4 опытные группы СМ по 6 гол. в каждой. За 14 дн. до предполагаемого опороса СМ опытных групп (ОГ) вводили внутримышечно СП и СН в следующих дозах: 1-й ОГ – стерильный водный раствор СН в дозе 0,1 мг Se на 1 кг живой массы (ЖМ); 2-й – СН в дозе 0,05 мг Se/кг ЖМ; 3-й – масляный раствор СП в дозе 0,1 мг Se на 1 кг ЖМ; 4-й – СП в дозе 0,05 мг Se на 1 кг ЖМ. Контрольной группе вводили стерильный физраствор. На 3-и и 7-е сут жизни отмечено, что уровень селена в сыворотке крови поросят всех ОГ превышает контроль. К 28 сут показатели концентрация селена в сыворотке крови молодняка существенно не отличались между группами. Также на 3-и сут жизни наблюдалось повышение IgG в сыворотке крови поросят во всех ОГ по сравнению с контролем. В 1-й ОГ этот показатель статистически значимо превышал контроль (P0,05), во 2-й группе наблюдалась лишь тенденция к увеличению. В 3-й и 4-й ОГ, где свиноматки получали СП, показатель также статистически значимо превышал контроль. Аналогичная картина наблюдалась и на 7-е сут жизни поросят. Во всех ОГ уровень IgG был выше, чем в контроле. Выявлена связь между уровнем IgG и IgM в молозиве подсосных СМ и иммунно-физиологическим статусом полученных от них поросят в условиях данного эксперимента. В молозиве концентрация IgG и IgM под воздействием СП статистически значимо повышалась соответственно на 52 и 136%, а СН – на 22 и 100% (P0,05). Поросята ОГ в раннем постнатальном периоде превосходили интактных животных по концентрации селена и содержанию иммуноглобулинов G-, M-, А-классов в сыворотке крови соответственно на 78 и 20-24% (P0,01), а также по количеству лимфоцитов, что положительно повлияло на показатели их сохранности.
