Efek pemberian pupuk nitrogen dan kascing terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.)

Experiment was executed in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture University of Muhammadiyah Jember from May until July 2008. Design experiment was factorial based on randomized completely block design with three replications. First factor was nitrogen fertilizer in four levels, i.e. no fertilizer added, 0.27 g N/poly bag, 0.55 g N/poly bag, and 0.80 g N/poly bag. Second factor was dosage of kascing manure in four levels, i.e. without kascing, 1 kg kascing/poly bag, 2 kg kascing/poly bag, and 3 kg kascing/poly bag. The results showed that application of nitrogen fertilizer did not influence on growth of lettuce. There was no interaction between nitrogen fertilizer and kascing manure on growth and yield of lettuce.
