Evaluation and yield comparison of promising bread wheat lines of breeding program on farmer's fields of temperate zones in Tehran Province (On farm).

Three wheat promising lines selected from compatibility tests along with M-90-7, M-90-9 and M-90-16 evaluated in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replication, in two location of varamin city (Haji abad and khaveh villages). Plant height, number of days to heading, number of days to maturity, total kernel weight, biological yield, grain yield and harvest index were measured. The result of combined analysis of variance showed that two promising lines M-90-7 and M-90-16 had the higher grain yield compared with two Parsi and Sivand test varieties and also compared with Pishtaz (custom and good performance variety in region of study). These two new lines are suitable for using in these regions. Key words : wheat, elite lines, yield, on-form : Abstract
