Importing plant material from abroad and their assessment of qualitative and quantitative characteristics will lead to selection of quality and high yielding lines that can be used for transfer desirable traits in hybridization programs and As well as new varieties of rice to be introduced to farmers. Therefore, the thirty-seven set of international rice medium maturity with 75 pure lines with three international check and one local check with total of 79 treatments in the Augmented experiment of randomized complete block design in five replications in 2011 in Rasht and Amol was implemented. The purpose of this experiment assessment of lines such as qualitative and quantitative characteristics for selection good lines in order to introduce them to the farmers and is used in breeding programs which is coordinated by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI).After sowing in the nursery and agronomy crop care, seedlings in plots with size 4 / 1 Χ 5 m and 20 Χ 20 cm space inter plant in the main farm was planting. All the agronomy usual care during the growing season was implemented and in harvest and postharvest stages traits such as yield, plant height, fertile tillers per plant, Panicle length, weight 1000 grain, the number of filled grains per panicle, days to 50% flowering and grain quality was measure and recorded. Assessment results in the Guilan province showed that 5 genotypes and mazandaran of 3 genotypes that have good traits such as vigor, the phenotypic assessment, height, number of tiller , reaction to pests and diseases, yield and grain quality have a significant advantage compared to other lines in order to continue testing and introduction of new or used in breeding program have been selected.
