Comparison of agronomical characteristics and yield of improved varieties and superior rice lines with check varieties in different regions of rice growing provinces.

The Study of production potential of rice varieties in different parts of iran, is one of the most important to increase rice production and economical income of rice farmers. For this reason and in order to familiarize farmers with research activities and the use of new varieties introduced, On-Farm experiment carryصصصصصصصout in 15صprovinces. In this experiment used by rice improvment vareties such as Fajr, Shafagh, Shirodi, Neda, Sahel, Dilam, Tabesh, Poya, Kadus, Nemat, Keshvari and Kohsar that had agronomic characteristics, yield and quality desirable traits. The results of these experiments indicate that the maximum yield belonged to Poya and Shafagh varieties with 8416 and 7766 kg/ha for Ilam province and 8135 and 8464 Kg/ha for Khuzestan province respectively. In Zanjan province, Dilam, Neda and Fajr variety, with 8675, 9066 and 8283 kg/ ha grain yield respectively, had the highest yield compared with other investigated and local cultivars. In Sistan and Baluchestan provinces Shafagh and Neda cultivars, with 5619 and 5470 kg/ha respectively. Fars province, Fajr and Shafag cultivars, with 6988 and 6674 kg/ha respectively. Golestan province, Shafagh and Nemat with9698 and 9170 kg/ha had maximum yield in comparison with other investigated and local cultivars. In Kermansha, Kadus and Shafagh and in Isfahan, Ardabil, ChaharMahal-eBakhtiari, Lorestan and Qazvin provinces, Shafag, Neda, Fajr, Keshvari and Kohsar varieties produced higher yield compared with other cultivars and local variety.
