Among different horticultural crops, citrus has received a great attention due to economical aspects, its role in occupation and nutritional and therapeutic values. Nowadays citrus industry has a special situation in the world because of its role in exportation. Southern parts of Iran are suitable position for production of lime varieties. Therefore performance of applied investigations in the field of citrus improvement and selection of the best combination of scion and rootstock with emphasis on better quantitative and qualitative characteristics is essential. Thus a factorial experiment with 18 treatments and 3 replicates was designed and performed in Darab agricultural research station to choose the best combination of scion and rootstock for lime varieties. Treatments consisted of 3 lime cultivars on six rootstocks. Analysis of variance and comparisons of means by Duncan s multiple range were performed. Horticultural cares were done the same for all treatments. Comparisons of means showed that scion and rootstock combination had a significant effect on crop yield. In addition some of qualitative indexes such as mean fruit weight and peel to pulp ratio were affected by scion and rootstock combination. Economic evaluation of different varieties and rootstocks showed that among them, Persian lime variety and Mexican lime rootstock were the most suitable ones. Also combination of varieties and rootstocks showed that Persian lime on Mexican lime with highest changes in rate of impure economic output was the best treatment in regard to economic aspects. In addition to this combination, Persian lime on Rough lemon, Bakraee, Rang pour lime, and Taivanica were the best ones which achieved second to fifth degree respectively
