Astudy of problem of sheep and fattening in province of Ardabil.

one of the ways to improve the quality meat without increasing the number of livestoke is fattenig . This study was carried out to investigate the situation of fattening farms in ArdebiJ province. Preliminary sarvey was done by using a questionairy following with observations and measurements. In this survey the factors about fattening charaeteristics like carcas ,housing ,nutrition ,healty ,animal diseases ,manangment and etc were studied. In this survey three fattening \{industrial ,nomadic and rural)systems with 131 questionaires were used. Howerer 18 fattening farms from three systems with equal numbers were selected to complete the studies. For more survey ,5% of those graups were bought and analyzed by physical corpes. Results of quastionnaives: 1.Fattening was done mostly with Moghani breed ,along with yearly lambs and grazer lambs. (age of fattening was between 6 and 9 months and fattening was performed at the cold seasons in autumn and winter). 2.lnan over the province,the period of fattening was 70 . 80 days ,starting weight was 33 . 42kg while final weight was 55 - 64kg. 3.General cause of disease was baeterial and viral .The diseases and weaknesses were the two reasons for mortality vaee/nation was carried out in autumn and winter. 4.The general average housing per animal was 1.63 m2but in for different fattening systems (nomadic,rural,industvla) were 1.22 , 142 and 2.88m2respectivily. 5,The feed cost /total costs was mord tham 80% for pattening parpose Alpa a/fa and barley forage were used. In lambs and matured sheep feed consumption were 2 and 2.75 ky for respectively. 6.ln all the cities of the province net income / finished sheep was 49552 RialS.the highest amount of net income was noticed in the indusrlal system and the lowest in the nomadic system
