The vital role of beef production belongs to biological active substances, supplying deficient nutritive elements in organisms of young animals and especially retarding activity of thyroid gland, increasing assimilating processes and meat productivity. The article researches stress-relieving action of bromides and iodides, based upon table salt. Rations for calves have been made and corrected according the young animals' requirements in nutritive substances and chemical composition of feeds. Within the limits of the experiment changes of live weight, average daily live weight gain, biochemical blood characteristics, economic efficiency of calves' growth during table salt feeding along with economic efficiency of utilization of iodide and bromide substances are evaluated. The main advantages of table salt application in calves' rations are analyzed.
