In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented the results of research on reed canary grass (Phalaroides arundinacea L.) seeds cultivation techniques, as well as there were determined the optimal terms of and methods of sowing, efficiency of herbicide application for obtaining of the stable seed productivity. The dependencies of grass stand density formation, seed crop capacity, crop structure elements from terms, planting methods alongside with using chemical plant defenders against weed are considered. The analysis determined optimal terms, methods and rates for planting as well as most efficient herbicides against weed verdure in seed crops of reed canary grass, which makes it possible to obtain 3-3,5 centners of seed per hectare. Studied on determination the sowing terms showed that the best sowing terms without application of chemical weeding was the early summer sowing (in the middle of June), inter-row sowing which made it possible to form the optimal structure of seed grass stands with 2.42-2.52 center / ha yielding capacity.
