In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented the results of studies assessing the effect of herbicides on the weeds of crops and qualitative indicators of white cabbage (Brassica oleracea convar. capitata var. alba L.) seedlings grown on flat and contoured surfaces of the soil in the open field. Summarizing the data obtained on the selection and testing of herbicides to protect cabbage crops from weeds in an open nursery at various ways of application and profiles of soil surface it can be concluded that the biological effectiveness of the application of Butizan 400, SC (2.0 l / ha), Butizan Star, SC (1.5, 1.7 and 2.0 l / ha), Stomp, 33% EC (3.0, 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0 l / ha), and teridoks, EC (2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 l / ha) reached 61.6-98.2% by number, and 50.5-98.6% by weight of weeds.
