In course of the research there was studied the developed system of indicators of the sizes of the agricultural organizations. Various opinions and approaches of authors on the matter were analyzed. The main groups of indicator system of farms, characterizing the sizes were allocated. The main and steadiest indicator for the formation assessment of the optimum sizes of the agricultural organization of Belarus was revealed. As a result of research it was found that in modern conditions, the dimensions of the agricultural organizations expressed a system of indicators, characterizing the main production resources of the organization, including the total land area of farms, agricultural land area, arable land and perennial plantings, number of employees, productive livestock population, the amount of fixed assets and the reflecting dimensions of agricultural production: the gross volume and marketable products, costs of production, acreage of crops, etc. The main and most stable indicator of the size of the agricultural organization was its land area, which was associated with the volume of production, the costs of establishing and maintaining economic centers, and the need for technology and manpower, transportation and other costs of servicing territory.
