In order to determine the adaptability and yield stability of elite durum wheat lines, this research was carried out to select the adaptable and high yielding promising lines for moderate zone of Iran. Eighteen elite lines selected from Advanced Regional Durum wheat Yield Trial, along with two check including Dena(durum wheat) and Parsi(Bread wheat) were studied in an experiment using RCBD with three replications at four research stations of moderate zone in two cropping season. During the crop season, some triats such as the days to heading, days to maturity, plant height, reaction to important disease and grain yield was recorded. Thousand Kernel weight and Quality indices were measured and recorded after harvesting. The results of simple and combined analysis of variance for grain yield showed that the lines were significantly different for this trait. The effects of locations and location Χ genotype were significant, then yield stability of the lines was done by using Rank method. Based on yield stability analysis results and desirable agronomic traits, bread making quality and resistance to important wheat diseases of moderate area, three lines including DM-91-8 and DM-91-13 were selected. These lines will be studied on farm condition trials in next years in order to determine which new cultivars are likely to be released.
