In order to addressing the planting date and cultivar effects on melon production at garmsar region, an investigation was conducted in 2011 cropping season at Garmsar research station. Three date of planting (10, 17 and 24 May) as main plots and three cultivars (jalali:V1, suskei: V2 and ghasri: V3) were considered as sub plots in a split plot design based on RCBD with three replications. Results showed that some treats such as fruit width, fruit length, flesh diameter, sugar percent, fruit weight and yield was significantly different in cultivars. Date of planting significantly affected length and width of fruit, flesh diameter and fruit weight. Totally, the best planting date for highest yield in all cultivars is 10 may. Highest content of sugar belong to ghasri cultivar at first and third planting dates
