The investigations were focused on the use of bioinformatics tools and data resources available for Arabidopsis thaliana in the analysis of 205 genes/ESTs (Expressed Sequence Tags from Helianthus annuus. The results highlight potential gene interactions, certain protein domains, and gene regulatory motifs which are involved in the response of the organism to internal and external stimuli by means of gibberellin signaling and its cross-talk with other phytohormones. The opportunity of using bioinformatics tools for interpretation and prediction of physiological processes was emphasized.
