The parts of Ceriops tagal (Perr.) C. B. Robinson such as leaves, stem and roots were collected from Keti Bunder and Sonmiani in sterile polythene bags for the assessment of mycoflora. It was recorded that 13 fungal species with 9 genera were isolated when plated on potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium. Saprophytic fungi like Aspergillus flavus, A. niger and A. sulphureus were present on all parts of the plant. However, Mucor sp. was isolated only from non sterilized leaves. Pathogenic fungi like Fusarium solani were recorded from all sterilized and non sterilized parts of C. tagal while Rhizoctonia solani on only sterilized and non-sterilized roots. Maximum number of fungi was present on leaves followed by roots and stem parts.
