In this document, the regions are divided into four major sections or areas, called anthropogenic or cultural landscapes, landscapes with many changes, landscapes with few changes or natural areas and unchanged landscapes. The partition is made upon human activities and changes that were influenced by man. Later, the components of the areas, or the little units called types of landscapes, are described.
