Reproductive ability of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) in forest seed orchards of different origin | Оценка репродуктивной способности сосны обыкновенной (Pinus sylvestris L.) на лесосеменных объектах различного происхождения

English. A high reproductive capacity of tree species in forest seed orchards (FSO) is an important aspect in forest tree selective breeding. The study of the reproductive capacity of Scots pine was conducted in FSO of vegetative and seed origin in the republic of Bashkortostan. Depending on the origin of the FSO all tested tree cones and seeds demonstrated a significant difference of trees in size and weight of the cones, seed yield, and in the mass of 1000 seeds. Cones of the trees from a clonal FSO are bigger and more filled in comparison with cones of the trees of seed origin. Certain correlations were established in the study. An intermediate level of correlation was observed between the diameter and length of the cone and the weight of seeds, between the weight of the cone and seeds weight, between the seed yield percentage and the length of the cone. A moderate correlation was registered between the seed yield percentage range and the diameter of the cone. A very close relationship was established between the weight of the cone, its length and diameter, seed yield and the weight of seeds in the cones. Trees growing in FSO demonstrated the highest quality indices of seeds compared to the permanent seed plantations and natural plantings. Seeds harvested in clonal FSO feature a higher germinative energy, good germination capacity, purity and are assessed as filled seeds. The yield rate of seeds of the improved selective category, however, is extremely low. The share of the selective seeds averages out at 3.4% of the total seed gain, seeds of Scots pine - at 2.4%. It is necessary to increase the share of the improved seeds in the total seed gain both by improving productive capacity of Scots pine in FSO and thorough harvesting of seeds from all trees.

Russian. В лесном селекционном семеноводстве важным является высокая репродуктивная способность деревьев, произрастающих на лесосеменных плантациях (ЛСП). Изучение репродуктивной способности сосны обыкновенной проводилось на ЛСП вегетативного и семенного происхождения Республики Башкортостан. По всем изучаемым показателям шишек и семян отмечено достоверное различие деревьев по размерам и массе шишек, выходу из них семян, массе 1000 шт. семян в зависимости от происхождения ЛСП. Шишки с деревьев, произрастающих на клоновых ЛСП, крупнее и полновеснее, по сравнению с деревьями семенного происхождения. Установлены корреляционные связи, которые, свидетельствуют о среднем уровне корреляции диаметра и длины шишки с массой семян, массы шишки с массой семян, процента выхода семян с длиной шишки. Умеренная связь отмечена между величиной процента выхода семян и диаметром шишек. Очень тесная связь установлена между массой шишки, ее длиной и диаметром, выходом семян из шишек и массой семян в шишках. Лучшие качественные показатели семян отмечены у деревьев, произрастающих на ЛСП, по сравнению с постоянными лесосеменными участками и естественными насаждениями. Семена, заготовленные на клоновых ЛСП, характеризуются более высокой энергией прорастания, всхожестью, чистотой и являются полновесными. Объемы заготовки семян улучшенной селекционной категории являются крайне низкими. Их доля составляет в среднем 3,4% от общего объема семянозаготовок, сосны обыкновенной – 2,4%. Необходимо увеличивать долю улучшенных семян в общем объеме заготовки семян путем повышения семенной продуктивности сосны обыкновенной на ЛСП и полного сбора семян со всех деревьев.
