One of the ways of rational management of animal breeding is the active involvement in agricultural production resources of wild fauna, including using of hybridization. West Caucasian wild goat, despite some exterior features, is phylogenetically closely related to domestic goats and should be considered as a kind of geographical ancestors of domestic goat. The article shows that the hybridization between karachai goats and West Caucasian wild goat is possible, hybrids exceeds the prenatal and early postnatal development of offspring got from karachai goats.
