Ganoderma is cosmopolitan enlarged genus. The approximately 214 species is known. Species diversity is constantly changing based on new data, necessary for the determination. In our research, we aimed to variability of the size of spore of Ganoderma spp. in the urban environment of central Slovakia. We recorded 31 findings. On the basis of the measured values we included findings to the 4 species: Ganoderma adspersum (19 findings), Ganoderma applanatum (9 findings), Ganoderma lucidum (2 findings) and Ganoderma resinaceum (1 finding). We analysed 30 spores for each fingings. We measured the length and width. We measured values of length for the following species: G. adspersum 7.5 – 13μm, G. applanatum 6 – 9,5 μm, G. lucidum 8 – 13 μm and G. resinaceum 9 – 10.8 μm. Width of spores had a following values: G. adspersum 4 – 9μm, G. applanatum 4 – 6.4 μm, G. lucidum 5 – 9 μm, G. resinaceum5.04 – 7.2 μm. The largest spore size was achieved in species of G. adspersum and G. lucidum.
