IMPACT OF PESTICIDES ON THE ABUNDANCE OF EUROPEAN HARE IN THE NORTHERN AZOV SEA REGION

This article summarizes the results of study of population dynamics of European hare, depending on the amount of pesticides in the hunting areas of the Northern Azov Sea area of Ukraine. We performed a correlation analysis that indicated a negative relationship between population dynamics and amount of pesticides contained in the hunting areas. We suggested the possible use of the abundance index of European hare population as an indicator of anthropogenic pressure on the associated agrological biodiversity.
