In a course of the research there were studied the conditions and key factors in the transformation of the institutional space of the cluster in the food system of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in the aspect of strengthening the national food competitiveness, which should be ranked based on the priority of the EEU specificity in the coordinate system: national food structure - innovation and cluster of food EEU system - investment, innovation, integration space of national food competitiveness. As a result of realized research there was revealed that the content of the cluster institutional space of EEU in the food system treated as a stable, capable of self-organization, which has a collection of contract relations agents which constitute the institutional path. The sustainable development of the cluster institutional space of EEU food system, which involves the transfer of from fluctuations ideas in the field of concentration of transactions (point of growth) to clusters (priority development area) as an aggregate of basic, systematic, developing innovation (cluster formation, Technopark, a special economic zone), which implies diffusion from the center to the periphery of the cluster of innovations under the influence of measures of institutional design).
