Organizational-economic measures in the protection of sugar beet root crops from the storage decay

It was found that the storage of sugar beets in large-sized storage piles results in higher safety, promotes to reducing of storage rot development on 18,5% in comparison with beet raw materials storage in clamps at level of biological efficiency of 41,3 %. Raw materials storage in piles promotes also to improve the technological qualities of root crops. Their sugar content was above on 0,56%, than at storage of root crops in clamps. Using artificial material SpunBel to cover storage piles prevents freezing of root crops from frost at an air temperature 3-4 degrees below zero. At lowering of air temperature from -3 to -100 degrees C under SpunBel the negative temperature is established at level from -1 to -50 degrees C. To minimize manual labor while covering storage piles with SpunBel there was developed a special recoiling machine, which is in working order, and already in current year the sugar beet storage piles’ covering is planned in production conditions.

Установлено, что хранение сахарной свеклы в крупногабаритных буртах приводит к более высокой сохранности, способствует снижению развития кагатной гнили на 18,5% по сравнению с хранением свекловичного сырья в кагатах при уровне биологической эффективности 41,3%. Хранение сырья в буртах способствует также повышению технологических качеств корнеплодов. Их сахаристость была выше на 0,56%, чем при хранении корнеплодов в кагатах. Укрытие буртов искусственным материалом Спанбел сдерживает промерзание корнеплодов от заморозков при температуре воздуха -3-40 С. При понижении температуры атмосферного воздуха от -3 до -100 С под Спанбелом устанавливается отрицательная температура на уровне от -1 до-50 С. Для минимизации ручного труда при укрытии буртов Спанбелом разработан размотчик рулонов, который находится в рабочем состоянии, и уже в текущем году планируется проведение укрытия буртов сахарной свеклы в производственных условиях.
