Cultivation of corn for grain in the Grodno region

Russian. В статье рассмотрено современное состояние производства кукурузы на зерно в сельскохозяйственных предприятиях Гродненской области. В качестве основных показателей был взят валовой сбор, посевная площадь и урожайность. Все они рассмотрены в динамике с анализом достигнутого уровня. Сельскохозяйственным предприятиям Гродненской области за последнее десятилетие удалось добиться устойчивых темпов роста объемов производства кукурузы при одновременно высоких показателях производственной деятельности. Данные научных исследований и опыт лучших хозяйств указывают, что эффективность выращивания кукурузы характеризуется следующим: высокая потенциальная продуктивность, превышающая другие зерновые и большинство кормовых культур, меньшая требовательность к почвам и предшественникам, чем у др. полевых культур, эффективное использование органических удобрений, хороший предшественник для др. культур, возможна полная механизация возделывания, уборки, заготовки и раздачи корма, разностороннее использование. Кроме того, отражено состояние производства кукурузы на зерно в мире и Республике Беларусь. Все расчёты были проведены на примере сельскохозяйственных предприятий Гродненской области. Динамика показателей строилась на основе анализа последних десяти лет. Данные по мировому производству кукурузы, а также по экспорту и импорту взяты на основе статистической информации Международной сельскохозяйственной организации.

English. The article discusses the current state of the production grain in the agricultural enterprises of the Grodno region. The gross harvest, the crop area and yield are taken as the main indicators. All of them are considered in dynamics with the analysis of achieved level. The agricultural enterprises in the Grodno region for last decade have achieved steady rates of growth in production volumes of corn together with high indicators of industrial activity. Data of scientific researches and experience of the best farms specify that efficiency of corn cultivation is characterized by the following: high potential productivity, exceeding most other grains and feed crops, less demanding to soils and predecessors, than at the others field crops, effective use of organic fertilizers, good predecessor for other cultures, possible full mechanization of cultivation, harvesting, preparation and distribution of feed, versatile use. In addition, the status of the production of corn for grain in the world and in the Republic of Belarus is examined. All calculations are carried out on the example of the agricultural enterprises of the Grodno region. Dynamics of indicators was based on the analysis of the past decade. Data on world production of corn, as well as export and import are taken on the basis of statistical information presented by International Agriculture Organization.
