Spinach leaf miner and measures on its harmfulness decrease

English. In a course of the research there was studied the main sugar beet pests in Belarus a spinach leaf miner (Pegomya hyoscyami Panz.) and measures to limit its injuriousness. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in 2003-2013 in RUE ‘Experimental Research Station for sugar beet’ and in the experimental field of RUE ‘Institute of Plant Protection’. It is met annually in crops, however, a degree of leaves damage depends on weather conditions. As a result of realized research it was found the phytophage number and harmfulness regulation by agrotechnical and chemical measures and also by nature regulating factors. It was determined that the previous crops, organic and mineral fertilizers, sowing periods and seed application rates, hybrid type and entomophages render an essential influence on the fly development and is an important factor on its number decrease in sugar beet fields. Pre-sowing seed treatment and the insecticide spraying during crop vegetation promotes plant severity decrease for 60–100% and 5–13% of root crop preservation.

Russian. Одним из основных вредителей сахарной свеклы в Беларуси является свекловичная минирующая муха (Pegomya hyoscyami Panz.). В посевах встречается ежегодно, однако степень повреждения листьев зависит от погодных условий. Приведены результаты исследований по регулированию численности и вредоносности фитофага агротехническими и химическими мероприятиями, а также природными регулирующими факторами. Установлено, что предшественники, органические и минеральные удобрения, сроки сева и нормы высева семян, тип гибрида и энтомофаги оказывают существенное влияние на развитие мухи и являются важными факторами по снижению ее численности на свекловичных полях. Предпосевная обработка семян и опрыскивание инсектицидами в период вегетации культуры способствуют снижению поврежденности растений на 60–100 % и сохранению 5–13 % урожая корнеплодов.
