Optimum levels of exchangeable magnesium in the podzoluvisol loam soil and efficiency of the sulfur-containing fertilizers for corn production

Russian. Приводятся данные модельных полевых опытов 2010–2013 гг. с кукурузой на дерново-подзолистых легкосуглинистых почвах с четырьмя разными уровнями содержания обменного магния (1 н. KCl) – от 74–77 до 240–263 мг Mg/кг почвы при соответствующем эквивалентном соотношении Ca2+:Mg2+, от 10,7–13,2 до 2,7–2,9, K+:Mg2+ – от 1,30–1,04 до 0,21–0,36. Определен расчетный диапазон оптимального содержания обменного Mg в почве (180–240 мг/кг почвы) и соотношений катионов поглощающего комплекса (Ca2+:Mg2+=3,5–4,0, K+:Mg2+=0,3–0,5) для получения высокой урожайности зеленой массы и зерна кукурузы. Получены существенные прибавки урожайности зеленой массы 5,0–2,6 т/га и зерна кукурузы 0,74–0,28 т/га от некорневой подкормки раствором сульфата магния, соответственно, только при низком и среднем содержании обменного магния в почве. Применение серосодержащих удобрений в дозе 60 кг/га позволило получить прибавку зеленой массы кукурузы 2,0–7,7 т/га при содержании обменного магния в почве не выше 181 мг/кг. Фосфогипс по сравнению с сульфатом аммония был более эффективен.

English. In course of the research there was studied the efficiency of sulfur-containing fertilizers on different levels content in soil of exchangeable magnesium and defined the optimal security of sod-podzolic light loamy soils with magnesium to produce high yields of green mass and grain maize (Zea mays). The field trials were realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in 2010-2013 years on the sod-podzolic light loamy soils on four different levels of the exchangeable magnesium content (1 n. KCI) was presented. The levels of exchangeable magnesium were: 74-77, 120-144, 181-195, 240-263 mg kg -1 Mg. The equivalent cation ratios on presented levels had corresponding significances: Ca2+:Mg2+=10.7-13.2, 6.5, 3.9-4.0, 2.7-2.9 and K+:Mg2+=1.04-1.30, 0.55-0.64, 0.33-0.48, 0.21-0.36. It was determined accounting range of the optimum content of the exchangeable magnesium in soil (180-240 mg kg-1 Mg) and equivalent cation ratios of the soil absorbing complex (Ca2+:Mg2+=3.5-4.0, K+:Mg2+=0.3-0.5) for receiving of the high productivity of green mass and grain corn. Essential gains of green mass corn yield – 5.0-2.6 t/ha and grain corn yield - 0.74-0.28 t/ha was obtained when a foliar spray of Mg fertilizer (1 kg/ha, 4% MgS047H20) was applied only on the low and medium contents of the exchangeable magnesium in the soil. Application of the 60 kg/ha sulfur fertilizers made it possible to obtain gains of green mass corn were 2.0-7.7 t/ha at the magnesium content in the soil not higher than 181 mg/kg. Phospogypsum in contrast with the ammonium sulfate fertilizer was more efficiency.
