Ecological features of storage rot pathogens of sugar beet roots

Russian. Установлено влияние температуры, относительной влажности воздуха и кислотности среды на рост колоний возбудителей. Развитие патогенов в чистой культуре возможно в широких диапазонах температур, начиная от 3 градусов С до 35 градусов С. Так, для гриба Ph. Betae оптимальная температура развития составляет 18-20 градусов С. Для грибов A. Tenuis, B. cinerea и S. sclerotiorum температурный оптимум лежит в пределах 20-23 градусов С, для рода Fusarium 24-26 градусов С, а для рода Penicillium оптимальная температура 25-28 градусов С. Чем выше относительная влажность воздуха (в пределах от 75 до 100%), тем активнее развиваются грибы, за исключением грибов рода Fusarium (оптимум 75-80%) и S. Sclerotiorum (оптимум 90%). Наибольший диаметр колоний грибов B. cinerea, A. tenuis, S. sclerotiorum и Fusarium spp. наблюдается при рН=5, Ph. betae при рН=5-6, а Penicillium spp. при рН=6. Также определено влияние относительной влажности воздуха и капельножидкой влаги на прорастание конидий патогенов, влияние температуры на прорастание конидий и на интенсивность поражения ткани ломтика корнеплода сахарной свеклы.

English. The influence of temperature, relative humidity and acidity of environment on the growth of pathogens colonies has been established. Pathogens development in pure culture is possible in wide ranges of temperatures beginning from 3 deg C to 35 deg C. So, the optimum temperature of development for fungus Ph.Betae makes 18-20 deg С. For fungus A.Tenuis, B.cinerea and S.sclerotiorum the temperature optimum lays in limits 20-23 deg С, for sort Fusarium - 24-26 deg С, and for sort Penicillium optimum temperature 25-28 deg С. The above relative humidity of air (in limits from 75 to 100 %), the fungi, except fungi of sort Fusarium (optimum 75-80 %) and S.Sclerotiorum (optimum 90 %), more actively develop. The largest diameter of colonies of fungi B.cinerea, A.tenuis, S.sclerotiorum and Fusarium spp. is observed at рН=5, Ph.betae at рН=5-6, and Penicillium spp. at рН=6. The effect of relative humidity of air and liquid droplet of moisture on the germination of conidia of pathogens, the effect of temperature for conidia germination and on the degree of tissue damage of sugar beet have been determined too.
