Breeding characteristics of plum seedlings of hybrid family Narach x Oda on the complex of economic characters

Russian. В статье приводятся результаты оценки по комплексу признаков гибридного фонда сливы, полученного от скрещиваний сортов Нарач х Ода в условиях селекционного сада. Установлена высокая гетерозиготность исходных сортов по анализирующим признакам. Выявлена эффективность сочетания в гибридизации сортов Нарач х Ода при селекции на зимостойкость (91 % зимостойких гибридов). Наблюдалось наследование потомством таких признаков, как высокая дегустационная оценка и хорошая отделяе- мость косточки от мякоти. Эмпирическое расщепление потомства по массе плода (менее 20 г, 21-25 г, 26-30 г, более 30 г) в соотношении 2:4:3:1 свидетельствует о наличии в изучаемой гибридной семье общей для селекции сливы проблемы: тенденции потомства крупноплодных сортов к мелкоплодию. Вместе с тем выделено 8 гибридных сеянцев с массой плода более 30 г, из которых по комплексу хозяйственно ценных признаков отобраны два для первичного сортоизучения.

The article presents the results of an assessment on a complex of signs of the hybrid fund of plums received from crossings of the cultivars Narach x Oda in the breeding orchard. High heterozygosity of initial cultivars on analyzing signs was established. Efficacy of a combination in hybridization of the cultivars Narach x Oda at breeding on winter hardiness (91 % of winter-hardy hybrids) was revealed. The inheritance of high degustation evaluation and good stone separability from flesh by offspring was observed. Empirical offspring splitting by fruit mass (less than 20 g, 21-25 g, 26-30 g, more than 30 g) in the ratio 2:4:3:1 testifies to presence of the general problem for plum breeding in studied hybrid family. It is the tendencies of large-fruited offspring to small fruit size. At the same time there were singled out 8 hybrid seedlings with the fruit mass of more than 30 g. Two of them were selected on the complex of economic characters for a primary cultivar study.
