Nitrate challenge in plant growing

Russian. На основании результатов собственных исследований и обобщения литературных данных приведена информация о зависимости содержания нитратов от различных факторов. Указывается, что накопление этих соединений в растениях значительно усиливается из-за дисбаланса элементов питания. Меньше их имеется при использовании для подкормки многолетних трав медленнодействующих азотных удобрений. Наоборот, на фоне аммиачной селитры, особенно возрастает содержание нитратов в растениях. Проявляется здесь и существенное влияние погодных условий. Установлена также суточная динамика содержания нитратов: минимальное их количество имеет место при уборке трав в вечернее время. Таким образом, по степени влияния различных факторов на содержание нитратов в кормах их можно расположить в такой последовательности: доза и форма азота, погодные условия, фаза развития и вид трав. Присутствие сорной растительности в посевах ухудшает качество корма из-за избыточного количества этих соединений. Содержание их существенно изменяется по годам наблюдений и в течение суток. Бывают случаи, когда наибольшие значения в накоплении NO3 имеют погодные условия, а не применяемые азотные удобрения. На склоне южной экспозиции растения, как правило, содержат меньше таких соединений, чем на северной. Имеет значение и метод определения нитратов, чтобы составить объективную картину по наличию их в кормах.

English. In a course of the research there were studied various factors which affect nitrate level in plants according to research data and systemized information from literature. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. As a result of realized research it was found that accumulation of these compounds in plants significantly increased due to the nutrition imbalance. It was get the lowest nitrate level if perennial grasses were fertilized with nitrate top-dressing of delayed action. Potassium nitrate increased nitrate level in plants. Weather conditions influenced nitrate content. Daily nitrate dynamics was fixed: the lowest nitrate level was during evening grass harvest. Thus, the degree of influence of various factors on the content of nitrates in feed could be arranged in such a sequence: the dose and form of nitrogen, the weather conditions, the development phase and the type of grasses. The presence of weed vegetation in crops impaired the quality of the feed due to the excessive amount of these compounds. Their content varied significantly over the years of observation and during the day. There were cases when the greatest values in the accumulation of NO3 had weather conditions, and not the applied nitrogen fertilizers. On the slope of the southern exposure, plants tended to contain fewer such compounds than the northern one. The method of nitrate determination was also important in order to make an objective picture of their presence in feed.
