The article deals with the cover of the cow rumination physiological aspects in detail touches of influencing factors in cow rumination process, as well as introduces with the measuring equipment of rumination duration and experience of its use in Latvia. Cow rumination process influencing factors can be divided into two groups – biological and economic activities. At the biological added: 1) the number of lactation; 2) the stage of lactation; 3) oestrus; 4) changes in health; 5) the perinatal period. Economic activity factors are: 1) the ration size and structure; 2) plan of feed feeding; 3) changes in air temperature in the barn. In this paper factors that affect duration of rumination are shown graphically in five figures.

Autors rakstā apskata govju atgremošanas fizioloģiskos aspektus, detalizēti pieskaras govju atgremošanas procesu ietekmējošiem faktoriem, kā arī iepazīstina ar atgremošanas ilguma mērīšanas iekārtām un to lietošanas pieredzi Latvijā. Govju atgremošanas procesu ietekmējošos faktorus var iedalīt divās grupās – bioloģiskie un saimnieciskās darbības. Pie bioloģiskajiem pieskaita: 1) laktāciju skaitu; 2) laktācijas stadiju; 3) meklēšanos; 4) veselības stāvokļa izmaiņas; 5) atnešanos. Saimnieciskās darbības faktori ir: 1) barības devas lielums un struktūra; 2) barības izēdināšanas plāns; 3) gaisa temperatūras izmaiņas kūtī. Rakstā govju atgremošanas procesa ietekmējošie faktori ir attēloti grafiski piecos attēlos.
