The paper presents an analysis of the status and trends of foreign trade of agricultural and food products between Russia and Serbia in terms of liberalization of international market and accession of Russia to WTO. With the accession of Russia to the WTO, legal environment of foreign trade activities will be complemented by protocols of that organization. After the ratification of Russian membership in the WTO, this country is obliged to accept obligations stipulated in multilateral trade agreements. Protocols have already become part of the legal system of the Russian Federation. If the protocols predicts different rules than those envisaged in Russian legislation, provisions of the protocol will be implemented, which can effect the external trade between Russia with Serbia.
