Traps effectiveness in the fight against horse flies (diptera, tabanidae) on alas pastures | Эффективность применения ловушек в борьбе со слепнями (diptera, tabanidae) на аласных пастбищах

English. The purpose of research is the study of the traps effectiveness in the fight against horse flies (Diptera, Tabanidae) on alas pastures for farm animals. Stationary observations and research were carried out in the period of 2002-2015 in the subzone of middle taiga forest zone of Yakutia. For the experiment, 2 alas pastures were chosen, one of which was control, while the other one was experimental. Both pastures on the perimeter were surrounded by a forest. On the control and experimental alas pastures the same herd of horses during the season (15 heads) grazed. The experimental pasture was at a distance of about 800 m from the control one. The experiment lasted from 29 June (the date of setting the traps) to 18 July (date of taking away the traps). Traps for the extermination of flies were set on the experimental pasture - 8 pieces (one of them is accountable) over the area of about 19 hectares (alas diameter is about 500 m) on the perimeter of alas at a distance of 75-100 meters from the forest edges, according to the guidelines. The distance between traps was 100-150 m. For the destruction of flies in the traps Veterin was used in a 0.05% concentration, with emulsion of which burlap (30 x 60 cm) was impregnated, placed at the top of the trap under the canopy. The flow rate was 150 ml of emulsion per trap. Burlap treatment was carried out once every 10 days. Traps were set in the control alas pasture on accounting days. Accountings in the experimental and control pastures were conducted on the 30 of June, and 2, 6, 10, 14 and 17 of July in the most fly activity hours in 2 replicates for 1 h. in total 24 accountings were carried out and 2346 flies were collected. Evaluation of the trap effectiveness in the pasture was carried out by changing the number of flies in the experiment compared to the control, which was studied by accounting spintop-like traps, with one set on the both pastures. The average number of flies caught for 1 h was: 124.4+-20.5 - control, 71.2+-16.5 per experiment. By the end of the experiment the number of flies reduced by 53.2 %, or almost by 2 times. The effectiveness of the trap varied from 26.9% to 53.2%.

Russian. Цель исследований – изучение эффективности применения ловушек в борьбе со слепнями (Diptera, Tabanidae) на аласных пастбищах с.-х. животных. Стационарные наблюдения и исследования выполняли в 2002–2015 гг. в подзоне средней тайги лесной зоны Якутии. Для опыта было подобрано 2 аласных пастбища, одно из которых было контрольным, а одно – опытным. Оба пастбища по периметру окружены лесом. На контрольном и опытном пастбище выпасался в течение сезона один и тот же косяк лошадей (15 голов). Опытное пастбище находилось от контрольного на расстоянии около 800 м. Опыт продолжался с 29 июня (дата установки ловушек) по 18 июля (дата снятия ловушек). Ловушки для истребления слепней были установлены на опытном пастбище в количестве 8 штук (одна из них учетная) на площади около 19 га (диаметр аласа около 500 м) по периметру аласа на расстоянии 75–100 м от лесных опушек, согласно методическим рекомендациям. Расстояние между ловушками составляло 100–150 м. Для уничтожения слепней в ловушках использовали ветерин 0,05%-ной концентрации, эмульсией которого пропитывали мешковину (30x60 см), помещаемую в верхней части ловушки под пологом. Расход эмульсии составлял 150 мл на ловушку. Обработку мешковины проводили один раз в 10 дн. В контрольном аласном пастбище в учетные дни ставили ловушку. Учеты в опытном и контрольном пастбищах проводили 30 июня, 2, 6, 10, 14 и 17 июля в часы наибольшей активности слепней в 2 повторностях в течение 1 ч. Всего проведено 24 учета численности и собрано 2346 слепней. Оценку эффективности применения ловушек на пастбище проводили по изменению численности слепней в опыте по сравнению с контролем, которую изучали с помощью учетных юловидных ловушек, по одной установленных на обоих пастбищах. Среднее количество слепней, отловленных за 1 ч: 124,4+-20,5 – контроль, 71,2+-16,5 опыт. К концу опыта численность слепней уменьшилась на 53,2%, или почти в 2 раза. Эффективность применения ловушек изменялась от 26,9% до 53,2%.
