Research result of select some three-line hybrid rice combinations having high yield and being stable in spring in Thanh Hoa

The research were conducted at Dinh Binh rice station, Yen Dinh district and Nam Giang commune, Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa in the spring 2012 and spring 2013. The ojbiective of this research is to determine 2 to 3 three lines hybrid rice combinations that having high yeild (from 75 to 80 quintal /ha), being stable in different environment, having short growing period, being resistant to pests. Materials of the experiments were included 15 varieties of three-line hybrid rice, in which there was 1 new species that was selected by Vietnam; check variety was Nhi u 838. The experiments were arranged in a randomized complete block (RCB), 3 replicates, each plot was 10 square meters, tránplanting density was 45 hills/square meters and 1 seedling/hill. After the research, four combinations that having yield higher than the check variety were selected at the level of probability value P=95%, including: Thien nguyen uu 686 (80.49 quintal /ha), Nhi uu 1588 (79.78 quintal/ha), ZZD 001 (79.14 quintal /ha) and Thanh Hoa 1 (78,56 quintal/ha). Among them, 2 combinations ZZD 001 and Thanh Hoa 1 not only had high yield but also were stabilized at two different points and two planting time of the experiments. The selected varieties have new type of tree, can be cultivated, have appropriate time growing and agricultural and bioiogical indicators, lightly infected or not infected with main pests, in accordance with cultivation Conditions in the spring in Thanh Hoa.
