Result of research on selection good quality Indica and Japonica rice varieties for Hanoi city

During 2012-2013, Center for Technology Development and Agricultural Extension (CETDAE) and Department of Science and Technology Hanoi City has coordinated the implementation of the major project: ' Result of research on selection good quality Indica and Japonica rice varieties for Hanoi city' to recruit a number of varieties have the especial characteristics. Japonica rice varieties have growing time in the season from 110 to 115 days; yield in s season pring is from 6.5 to 7.0 tonnes /ha in summer season from Crops at 6,0 to 6.5 tonnes/ha with quality: rice ratio from 75 to 80%; amylose content of 16-20%, good cooking quality. With Long grain Indica rice varieties: rice length 7 mm, yield in spring season is from 6.5 to 6.8 tonnes / ha; in summer season from 6.0 to 6.3 ton / ha, growing time season for less than 110 days; milling quality and cooking high quality, scented; amylose content of 20%.
