The present research work was conducted to accord the "Occurrence of foliage insects among Kinnow Mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco) and Musambi (Citrus limetta) orchards" during the flowering season of these plants in session 2015-16. Among kinnow orchards, total 76 species were recorded belonging to 08 orders, 40 families and 62 genera; whereas among musambi orchards, total 72 species were counted pertaining to 09 orders, 37 families and 58 genera. Among both fields, total 1237 specimens were collected during entire sampling (10 sampling from each category) and maximum population was recorded from kinnow orchards 52.22% (N = 646) and least population was recorded from musambi orchards Le. 47.78% (N = 591). In case of kinnow orchards, maximum population was recorded during 4th sampling (92 plus minus 19.37), followed by 89 plus minus 17.25 (5th sampling), 87 plus minus 15.84 (3rd sampling) and so on, while, least value was recorded during 9th sampling (29 plus minus 25.17). However, species abundance was recorded utmost during 3rd sampling (36 species) at temperature and humidity of 32.2 degree C and 27%, respectively; while, least species abundance was recorded during 9th sampling i.e. 16 species at 33.32 degree C (temperature) and 56% (humidity). In case of musambi orchard, maximum population was recorded during 4th sampling (87 plus minus 19.73), followed by 72 plus minus 9.12 (1st sampling), 70 plus minus 7.71 (2nd sampling) and so on, while, least value was recorded during 9th sampling (33 plus minus 18.46), whereas, species abundance was recorded highest during pt sampling (30species) at temperature and humidity of 29 degree C and 37%, respectively. However, least species abundance was recorded during 8th sampling i.e. 15 species at 32.2 degree C (temperature) and 57% (humidity). From musambi orchards maximum relative abundance 11.17% (N = 66) was recorded for Drosophila subobscura; form kinnow orchards, maximum relative abundance 18.42% (N = 119) was recorded for genus Drosophila (Family Drosophilidae); while, form musambi orchards, it was also recorded highest for Drosophila (Family Drosophilidae) 19.29% (N = 114). From total of (47) recorded families, 40 were recorded from kin now orchards and among them, extra ordinary relative abundance (18.42%; N = 119) was recorded for Drosophilidae family. While, from total of 47 recorded families, 36 were recorded from musambi orchards and among them, relatively higher abundance (19.29%; N = 14).
