During March and April 2016 a great number of samples of different ornamental plants with disease symptoms were collected from greenhouses and glasshouses of producers from Lijevče polje, Semberija, Posavina and East Herzegovina. The most frequently sampled ornamental plants Begonia sp., Yucca sp., Dianthus sp., Viola sp., Rosmarinus officinalis, Ranunculus sp. and Verbena sp. showed different symptoms that were grouped into six distinct groups. Identification of disease-causing agents was based on morphological, pathogenic, cultural and molecular characteristics. The most common disease causing agents of ornamental plants identified to the species level were phytopathogenic fungi: Puccinia arenarie (Schumach.) G. Winter, Septoria dianthi Desm. and Ramularia deflectens Bresad, as well as phytopathogenic fungi Colletotrichum sp., Golovinomyces sp., Neorisyphe sp., Pestalotiopsis sp. and Podosphaera sp., identified to the genera level.
