resistance to salinity has been studied and an analysis of physiological and biochemical changes in the tissues of sprouts of three varieties of wheat has been carried out - the Don lighthouse, Siete Cerros and ABN. The effect of different concentrations of NaCl solutions on seed germination, growth and accumulation of biomass, and the content of free proline in the aerial part of the seedlings were evaluated. Analysis of growth parameters (germination, root length, height of the aerial part and accumulation of raw biomass of roots and the aerial part) under conditions of salinization showed that the most resistant variety was the Don lighthouse, inferior to the cultivars Siete Cerros and ABN. The stability of the variety was also confirmed by the nature of the accumulation of free proline in the aerial part of the seedlings.
