Species of the genus Prunella L. as sources of valuable biologically active substances | Виды рода Prunella L. – источники ценных биологически активных веществ

In order to search for new sources of medicinal raw materials, an introductory and biochemical study of the aboveground mass of wild plant species is conducted in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. A primary introductory study of Prunella grandiflora (L.) Jack., P. laciniata (L.) L. and P. vulgaris L. – valuable sources of phenolic compounds – was done in the Southern coast of the Crimea. High plant survival rate and seed germination testify the prospects of introduction of these species and its further industrial cultivation in this region Phenolic compounds of the studied species are represented by hydroxycinnamic acids (chlorogenic, coffee and rosemary acids) and flavonols (rutin and quercetin-3-Oglucoside). The ratio of these compounds in the flowering phase is characterized by a significant predominance of the first ones (45.83 mg/g vs 19.6 mg/g), while in the fruiting phase they are almost in equal amounts – 11.41 and 11.20 mg/g. The dominant component of phenolic compounds is rosmarinic acid (RA), the concentration of which is 91.6–92.3% of the amount of hydroxycinnamic acids. The highest concentration of RA was observed in Prunella vulgaris (41.98 mg/g) in the mass flowering phase. By the phase of seed ripening in subtropical climate conditions a decrease by a factor of five in the amount of RA in the above-ground mass of this species is observed. The content of phenolic compounds (in particular RA) in the aboveground mass of Prunella grandiflora and P. vulgaris species growing in natural phytocenoses of the Crimea and the Caucasus makes it possible to talk about their value as sources of biologically active substances.

Russian. С целью поиска новых источников лекарственного сырья в Никитском ботаническом саду проводится интродукционное и биохимическое исследование надземной массы дикорастущих видов растений. Проведено первичное интродукционное изучения в условиях Южного берега Крыма Prunella grandiflora (L.) Jack., P. laciniata (L.) L. и P. vulgaris L. – ценных источников фенольных соединений. Высокие приживаемость растений и всхожесть семян свидетельствуют о перспективности интродукции этих видов и их дальнейшего промышленного выращивания в данном регионе. Фенольные соединения исследуемых видов представлены гидроксикоричными кислотами (хлорогеновой, кофейной и розмариновой) и флавонолами (рутин и кверцетин-3-О-глюкозид). Соотношение этих соединений в фазу цветения характеризуется значительным преобладанием первых (45,83 мг/г против 19,6 мг/г), в то время как в фазу плодоношения они содержатся почти в равных количествах и составляют 11,41 и 11,20 мг/г соответственно. Доминирующим компонентом фенольных соединений является розмариновая кислота (РК), концентрация которой составляет 91,6–92,3% от суммы гидроксикоричных кислот. Наибольшая концентрация РК отмечена у Prunella vulgaris (41,98 мг/г) в фазе массового цветения. К фазе созревания семян в условиях субтропического климата наблюдается снижение количества РК в надземной массе данного вида почти в 5 раз. Содержание фенольных соединений (в частности РК) в надземной массе видов Prunella grandiflora и P. vulgaris, произрастающих в природных фитоценозах Крыма и Кавказа, позволяет говорить об их ценности как источников биологически активных веществ.
