Influence of bio-additives in mixed fuel on operability of fuel injection equipment of diesel engines | Влияние биодобавок в смесевое топливо на работоспособность топливной аппаратуры дизельных двигателей

English. The purpose of the study is to determine the influence of bio-additives of rapeseed oil in a mixed fuel on the operability of fuel injection equipment of diesel engines, including filter elements and injectors. The operability of the fuel injection equipment elements was studied using a commercial grade diesel fuel, rapeseed oil and 2 compositions of mixed fuel: 1 - of 70% diesel fuel and 30% rapeseed oil; 2 - of 50% diesel fuel and 50% rapeseed oil. The operability criterion of the filter was the pressure change (difference) before and after the filter placement in the fuel pumping line. The operability of the injectors was studied on a test bench for testing and adjusting of diesel engine injectors. A motor tester was used for studying the parameters of the diesel fuel supply system. In consequence of the studies, it was determined that the rapeseed oil bio-additives of in diesel fuel provide additional pressure resistance in the fuel line. An increase in the rapeseed oil content in fuel compositions from 0 to 50% results in a pressure difference increase in the main line before and after the placement of the filters, almost 2 times. A pressure difference value is noticeably reduced when using fuel compositions heated to 70 deg. C. For heating of the mixed fuel, a special device has been developed. The tests of the fuel composition-based injectors (30% of rapeseed oil + 70% of diesel fuel) showed that the values of the parameters studied were similar to those obtained by testing on a commercial grade fuel. The operability parameters of the injector, including the quality of fuel atomization and the leak-tightness of a spray nozzle using a closing taper in the tests on a commercial grade diesel fuel and various fuel compositions, did not differ from each other. It was determined that the pressure resistance of the fine filters could be reduced by heating the mixed fuel. The use of mixed fuel will enable to reduce the toxicity of exhaust gases.

Цель исследования – определение влияния биодобавок из рапсового масла в смесевое топливо на работоспособность топливной аппаратуры дизельных двигателей, в том числе фильтрующих элементов и форсунок. Работоспособность элементов топливной аппаратуры исследовали на товарном дизельном топливе, рапсовом масле и 2 композициях смесевого топлива: 1-ая – 70% дизельного топлива и 30% рапсового масла; 2-ая – 50% дизельного топлива и 50% рапсового масла. Критерием работоспособности фильтра являлось изменение (перепад) давления до и после фильтров топливоподкачивающей магистрали. Работоспособность форсунок исследовали на стенде для проверки, испытания и регулировки форсунок дизельных двигателей. Для исследований параметров системы топливоподачи дизеля применяли мотортестер. В результате исследований установлено, что биодобавки из рапсового масла в дизельном топливе создают дополнительное гидравлическое сопротивление в топливной магистрали. Увеличение содержания рапсового масла в топливных композициях от 0% до 50% приводит к увеличению перепада давления в магистрали до и после фильтров почти в 2 раза. При использовании подогретых до 70 град С топливных композиций величина перепада заметно снижается. Для подогрева смесевого топлива разработано специальное устройство. Испытания форсунки на топливной композиции (30% рапсового масла + 70% дизельного топлива) показали, что значения исследуемых параметров аналогичны значениям, полученным при испытании на товарном топливе. Параметры работоспособности форсунки, в том числе качество распыливания топлива и герметичность по запирающему конусу распылителя при испытаниях на товарном дизельном топливе и различных топливных композициях, не отличались друг от друга. Установлено, что путем подогрева смесевого топлива можно снизить гидравлическое сопротивление фильтров тонкой очистки. Использование смесевого топлива позволит снизить токсичность выхлопных газов.
