English. The aim of the research: investigate musculus biceps brachii and musculus brachialis morphology in a computed tomography image in clinically healthy and medial coronoid disease affected dogs and identify possible interrelationship between muscle morphology and development of a medial coronoid disease. 91 dogs used for the experimental investigation. 65 dogs had a medial coronoid disease, and 26 dogs were clinically healthy. In a computed tomography images was analyzed the medial coronoid process and measured musculus biceps brachii and musculus brachialis volume and maximum cross-sectional area, and musculus biceps brachii attachment place to a medial coronoid process. Results showed, that the most frequent pathology of a medial coronoid process was fragmentation and the second most frequent change was subtrochlear sclerosis. In 91.8% of cases, fragmentation of a medial coronoid process was together with subtrochlear sclerosis. Results of our designed radiodensity examination method presented a statistically significant difference in a Hounsfield units between dogs with and without a medial coronoid disease.

Latvian. Promocijas darba mērķis: pētīt musculus biceps brachii un musculus brachialis morfometriskos parametrus datortomogrāfijas attēlā un to savstarpējo saistību suņiem ar mediālā koronoīda izauguma slimību. Pētījumā iekļauts 91 suns. Mediālā koronoīda izauguma slimību diagnosticēta 65 suņiem, un 26 suņi iekļauti kontroles grupā. Datortomogrāfijas attēlā analizēts mediālais koronoīda izaugums (processus coronoideus medialis), aprakstītas tā patoloģiskās pārmaiņas, kā arī veikti musculus brachialis un musculus biceps brachii morfometriskie mērījumi. Musculus biceps brachii noteicām tā cīpslas piestiprināšanās vietu pie processus coronoideus medialis, tilpumu un maksimālo anatomisko šķērsgriezuma laukumu, bet musculus brachialis tilpumu un maksimālo anatomisko šķērsgriezuma laukumu. Pētījuma rezultāti parādīja, ka biežākās mediālā koronoīda izauguma slimības atradnes datortomogrāfijas attēlā ir subhondrālā skleroze un processus coronoideus medialis fragmentācija. Noteicām, ka 91.8% gadījumu processus coronoideus medialis subhondrāla skleroze novērojama kopā ar šī izauguma fragmentāciju. Ar mūsu pētījumā izstrādāto blīvuma mērījumu metodiku noteicām, ka suņiem ar mediālā koronoīda izauguma slimību processus coronoideus medialis blīvums Haunsfilda vienībās ir statistiski ticami augstāka nekā klīniski veseliem indivīdiem.
