English. The aim of the study was to determine Heterobasidion spp. frequency in spruce stands on drained peat soils. The objectives were: i) to evaluate distributions of root and stem rot causing fungi in even-aged spruce stands on drained peat soil; ii) to analyse Heterobasidion spp. population structure on even-aged spruce stands on drained peat soil and iii) to analyse spread of root and stem rot in context of stand age. Analysis of Heterobasidion distribution in even-aged spruce stands on peat soils was done in six previously inspected spruce stands in four districts of Latvia. Yield losses caused by Heterobasidion increase by the age of the stand. In stands of 41 year, decay column was 4.4 m high, on average. In stands on age of 62 and 111 years decay has spread on average 4.8 m and 7.6 m, respectively. To limit spread of Heterobasidion and its caused yield losses rotation period should be shorten. Utility of pre-commercial thinning should be considered.
Show more [+] Less [-]Latvian. Darba mērķis bija noskaidrot sakņu trupi izraisošās sēnes Heterobasidion spp. sastopamību kūdras augsnēs. Valsts pētījuma programmas (ResProd) izpildes laikā četrās egļu audzēs ar kūdras augsnēm ierīkoti 11 parauglaukumi un ievākti koksnes paraugi. Papildus analizēti arī iepriekšējos pētījumos iegūtie dati. Secināts, ka kūdras augsnēs vidēji inficētas 16,3% egļu, tomēr atsevišķās audzēs trupējušo koku īpatsvars var sasniegt pat 30%. Kūdras augsnēs konstatēta gan Heterobasidion izraisītā sporu infekcija, gan sakņu infekcija, sēnes micēlijam inficējot veselos kokus. Palielinoties audzes vecumam, pieaug sēnes izraisītie mežsaimnieciskie zaudējumi. Vidējais trupes izplatības augstums stumbrā 41 gadu vecās egļu audzēs ar kūdras augsnēm ir 4,4 m, bet 62 un 111 gadus vecās audzēs attiecīgi 4,8 m un 7,6 m.
