The purpose of proper storing is to preserve the quality of sunflower seed and to provide raw material for production of high quality oil, with good oxidative stability and less refining los. During the purchase when the amount of received raw material is intensive, the use of temporary storages is necessary because the capacity of store is loaded and capacity of dryer is limited. The use of this type of storages leads to decrease in the quality and the quantity of raw material, so it's recommended that keeping of raw material on that type of storage is as short as possible. The aim of this work is to present quality changes in sunflower seed before and after storage on temporary stores, as well as quality changes in different storage conditions.
