The intensive citrus crop should be based on a variety – the main means of production that should be distinguished by four main characteristics (high productivity, early ripeness, and resistance to diseases and relatively high cold-resistance). The successful passing of all the types and stages of variety test by improved or completely new varieties is a start in production.
