Particularităţile de creştere a cătinei albe (Hippophae Rhamnoides L.) în funcţie de soi şi modul de conducere a pomilor

The paper presents the results of a study on growth particularities of the sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) varieties ‘Cora’, ‘Clara’, ‘Mara’ and ‘Dora’ depending on the tree training system: 1) bush; 2. tree with the trunk height of 45-50 cm, with annually pruning of fruit branches; 3. improved vase-training system; 4. mixed-pyramid-training system (control). Experimental data on trunk diameter and total length of annual branches have been obtained during the first three years after planting, depending on the variety and plant training system. As a result, it has been established that according to the studied indicators, the growth vigor of ‘Dora’ variety plants is lower compared to that of ‘Cora’, ‘Clara’, and ‘Mara’ varieties. The highest values of these indicators have been recorded by the bush-shaped plants.
