The article is focused on the investigation of the economic dimension of individual farms in theRepublic of Moldova. First, it describes the difference between the economic dimension of farm size, expressedin money measure and physical dimension, expressed in hectares. Second, it describes the methodology ofcalculation of the economic size dimension, based on Standard Gross Margin (SGM). And last, it discovers thedependencies between the economic size dimension and other indicators, reflecting about the possibility of itsimplementation in Moldova as a useful tool of agricultural policy.
