Duckweed is usable for purifying waste water. At a protein content of 30% in dry matter it has perspective as feed. Fermenting and drying enlarges the usability. Besides duckweed is profitable for protein isolation at large scale production. Duckweed is not profitable for codigestion. Legislation and instructions requires guarantee of food safety. An extensive risk analysis and guarantying the production process are the most important conditions.
