The countries of Central Africa made international commitments to contribute to combating climate change through their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in the context of the twentyfirst Conference of the Parties (COP 21) of the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) held in Paris in 2015. As 2020 approaches, the year in which the preparations made by countries to implement the measures envisaged to combat climate change will be reviewed, there is an urgent need for the countries of Central Africa to organise themselves to present their state of preparedness. For a convincing case to be presented and to attract the funding required to attain the goals set, the countries concerned must highlight the efforts made to improve intersectoral coordination, thereby demonstrating that the NDC process has been successfully taken on board
